Job summary

Midwest Fabrication in Dalby, QLD, is seeking an Assembly Team Leader to lead the final assembly of our harvesting platforms. This hands-on leadership role focuses on quality, safety, and on-time delivery within a small team at our Dalby facility.

You will oversee mechanical assembly, hydraulic systems and component installation, while coordinating priorities with the Production Build Schedule. Prior leadership and strong teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a small assembly team in manufacturing.
• Proven ability to read drawings and work instructions.
• Hands-on mechanical assembly with hydraulics experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities of the final assembly team.
• Coordinate work priorities with the Production Build Schedule.
• Perform and oversee mechanical assembly, fitting and equipment setup.
• Ensure correct installation of components, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Complete final inspections and quality checks before release.
• Identify and resolve assembly or quality issues promptly.
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, Warehouse, Procurement and Engineering.
• Monitor parts availability and escalate shortages or production issues.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized assembly area.
• Train and support new team members in assembly methods and standards.
