Job summary

JBS Prime City Feedlot in southern NSW is seeking a Mill Foreperson to join the leadership team. You will oversee feeding and milling operations, manage feed receival, storage, and inventory, ensure grain processing meets standards, and maintain ration data to support cattle performance.

You will lead and develop the mill team, monitor stocktakes, and uphold WHS, QA, Animal Welfare and environmental requirements across operations.

Qualifications

• Previous feedlot milling and feeding experience.
• A strong interest in animal nutrition, ration processing and feed delivery.
• Good record-keeping skills and confidence using computer-based systems.
• Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to work proactively and use initiative.
• Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with team members at all levels.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A motivated, hands-on approach and commitment to achieving high standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day feeding and milling operations to meet targets.
• Oversee receival, storage and inventory management of feed commodities.
• Ensure grain is processed to required standards for cattle performance.
• Maintain accurate and timely commodity and ration data.
• Lead, engage and develop the mill and feeding team.
• Conduct regular stocktakes and audits to monitor inventory.
• Ensure feed production and delivery complied with WHS, HR, QA, Animal Welfare and Environment requirements.
