Job summary

Synechron is seeking a highly experienced Principal Architect / Enterprise Architecture Lead to drive strategy and transformation across large-scale financial platforms. You will own end-to-end architecture decisions for data, integration, cloud, and cards/payments domains.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years in tech and 5+ years in senior architecture roles within Banking/Financial Services, with a proven ability to lead global teams and governance boards.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of technology experience.
• 5+ years in Enterprise Architecture or equivalent leadership roles.
• Experience defining roadmaps and governance for enterprise tech.
• Experience leading large-scale transformation in Banking/Financial Services.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive enterprise architecture strategy aligned to business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Lead architecture design across data, applications, integrations, cloud, and platform domains.
• Modernize legacy banking and cards platforms into scalable cloud-native architectures.
• Provide architectural leadership for large transformation programs across cards, payments, collections, and customer platforms.
• Design scalable data solutions leveraging Snowflake, PySpark, and cloud-native tech.
• Establish architecture standards, governance, and best practices.
• Partner with stakeholders to define technology roadmaps.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and advise senior leadership.
• Ensure architecture aligns with security, resilience, and regulatory needs.
• Mentor architects and engineering teams to drive excellence.
