Synechron is seeking a highly experienced Principal Architect / Enterprise Architecture Lead to drive strategy and transformation across large-scale financial platforms. You will own end-to-end architecture decisions for data, integration, cloud, and cards/payments domains.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years in tech and 5+ years in senior architecture roles within Banking/Financial Services, with a proven ability to lead global teams and governance boards.

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Architect / Enterprise Architecture Lead to drive architecture strategy and technology transformation across large-scale financial services platforms. This role requires a seasoned technology leader with deep expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud modernization, data platforms, integration architecture, cards and payments systems, and large-scale digital transformation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working within banking and financial services environments, leading architecture decisions across Cards Modernization, Collections, Customer Platforms, Data, and Integration ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive enterprise architecture strategy aligned to business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Lead architecture design across data, application, integration, cloud, and platform domains.
• Drive modernization of legacy banking and cards platforms into scalable cloud-native architectures.
• Provide architectural leadership for large transformation programs involving Cards, Payments, Collections, and Customer platforms.
• Design scalable data solutions leveraging Snowflake, PySpark, and cloud-native technologies.
• Establish enterprise-wide architecture standards, governance, and best practices.
• Partner with business stakeholders, engineering leaders, product teams, and delivery managers to define technology roadmaps.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Ensure architecture alignment across security, resilience, scalability, and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor architects, principal engineers, and engineering teams while driving engineering excellence.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 15+ years of overall technology experience.
• 5+ years in Enterprise Architecture, Principal Architect, Chief Architect, or Principal Engineering leadership roles.
• Proven experience defining enterprise technology roadmaps and architecture governance frameworks.
• Experience leading large-scale transformation programs in Banking and Financial Services.
