Job summary

Cuscal Limited is seeking a Lead Engineer - Settlements and Disputes in Sydney to drive technical design and delivery for core banking needs. You will lead and mentor teams, embed DevOps practices, and ensure scalable, secure solutions in a payments environment.

You will balance hands-on coding with broader platform decisions, collaborating with product owners and delivery squads to resolve issues and drive technical roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Extensive software engineering experience with leadership exposure.
• Domain knowledge in Payments, Settlements and Disputes.
• Hands-on design, build and delivery of software solutions.
• Experience implementing CI/CD, test automation and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of scalability, performance, resilience and disaster recovery.
• Programming experience in Java or Node.js.
• Experience reviewing code and guiding developers and testers.
