Job summary

Zurich Australia is seeking a Lead Engineer – Salesforce to shape and deliver scalable Salesforce solutions that align with our digital strategy. You will translate complex business needs into robust specifications, lead cross‑functional teams, and drive technical excellence through hands‑on coding, configuration and integrations.

This role offers a hybrid office/remote setup, 5 weeks annual leave, and a culture focused on wellbeing and continuous learning as we transform our technology platform.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Lead Engineer delivering Salesforce solutions in complex environments.
• Strong understanding of APIs, integration patterns, and CI/CD concepts and tooling.
• Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, Agentforce, and Experience Cloud.
• Salesforce Developer certifications and ability to mentor teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable Salesforce solutions aligned to Zurich's digital strategy.
• Translate complex business requirements into robust technical specifications and solutions.
• Pilot and evaluate new Salesforce features to assess value and impact.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership, including coding, configuration, and integrations (approx. 30%).
• Mentor and guide team members in Salesforce best practices and technical excellence.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure quality standards are met.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, driving continuous improvement.

You are an accomplished Lead Engineer with deep, hands-on Salesforce expertise. You thrive in a fast-paced, transformation-focused environment, and are passionate about leading teams to deliver high-impact digital solutions.

In order to be successful, you will have the following:

• Proven experience as a Lead Engineer, with a track record of leading Salesforce solution delivery in complex environments.
• Strong understanding of APIs, integration patterns, and CI/CD concepts and tooling.
• Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, Agentforce, and Experience Cloud.
• Salesforce Developer certifications.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead technical teams.
• Experience in financial services or insurance is highly regarded.
