Job summary

Orica’s Digital Solutions FRAGTrack team in Australia seeks a Lead Engineer to guide edge and cloud software across mining platforms. You will partner with product managers, engineers and data scientists to deliver scalable, secure solutions that run across field devices and cloud environments.

You will balance hands-on coding with people leadership, ensuring observable and maintainable software that meets customer needs while promoting engineering excellence in a hybrid/remote Australia-wide

Qualifications

• Experience leading distributed software teams and delivering robust systems.
• Strong background in C#/Python with cloud and edge deployments.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001 security practices and secure software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver capabilities for FRAGTrack and IoT platforms.
• Provide technical leadership across edge and cloud systems.
• Design data models, contracts and interfaces between distributed systems.
• Deliver highly available products by automating delivery, monitoring and management.
• Mentor engineers and support growth within the team.
