Job summary

Genus invites applications for an Electrical Project Engineer to lead electrical engineering on the Parron Wind Farm, a landmark 330kV project delivering high‑voltage infrastructure in Australia. You will interpret scopes, manage design packs, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure safety, quality and compliant delivery.

Ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years in electrical project engineering, proficient in AutoCAD/MicroStation/SolidWorks and MS Office;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical project engineering
• Strong understanding of electrical construction methodologies, QA/QC processes, and engineering documentation
• Ability to interpret drawings, scopes of work, and technical specifications
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and within a cohesive project team
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with drafting/engineering software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, SolidWorks)
• White Card, C-Class Driver’s Licence, and National Police Clearance

Responsibilities

• Interpreting and applying client scope, technical specifications, and engineering documentation
• Preparing and reviewing electrical work packs including MDRs, ITPs, drawings, ITRs, JSAs and SWMS
• Supporting construction verification, turnover/handover packages, and design milestone management
• Conducting site inspections to ensure design intent is met and resolving constructability issues
• Reviewing electrical engineering deliverables and ensuring compliance with standards and contract requirements
• Liaising with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to resolve technical queries promptly
• Preparing red-line mark-ups and maintaining accurate as-built documentation
