Job summary

BESS Broadway (BB) is a global developer of grid-connected storage projects, seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to own the electrical design across the UK, Europe, Australia and beyond.

This hands-on leadership role requires coordinating SLDs, protection philosophy and grid studies while working with DNOs, TSOs, EPCs and external consultants.

Travel across multiple markets is expected; remote/hybrid work options apply as BB scales across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of electrical engineering experience in utility-scale renewables or grid infrastructure.
• Experience taking projects through grid connection processes in at least one market (UK, Europe, or Australia).
• Proven track record delivering RtB/financial close in developer, IPP, or consultancy roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead all electrical engineering activities across the project pipeline from feasibility to RtB.
• Own SLDs, electrical layouts, protection philosophy, and equipment specifications.
• Define electrical design standards and review gates across markets.
• Interface with network operators and consultants worldwide.
