Job summary

CATL is seeking an experienced Grid Interconnection Manager/Engineer to own end-to-end grid interconnection, compliance and integration for its utility-scale battery storage projects across APAC. You will work with TSOs/DSOs, developers and EPC teams to enable energisation and COD, while navigating market rules and regulatory requirements.

A Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems is required with 5–7 years of interconnection experience; EMS/PCS/BMS/SCADA familiarity is highly

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or equivalent.
• Master’s degree preferred in a relevant field.
• PE/Chartered Engineer status is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead grid capacity screening and interconnection submissions with utilities, TSOs and DSOs for utility-scale BESS assets.
• Evaluate grid connection offers, negotiate terms and assess reinforcement costs.
• Oversee power system studies (load flow, short circuit, harmonic, voltage stability, fault level).
• Coordinate external power system consultants, set scope and review deliverables.
• Ensure BESS design, EMS/PCS/SCADA/Protection meet grid codes and market rules.
• Plan and witness FAT/SAT tests for energisation; resolve grid non-conformities.
