Lead Electrical Electronics Design Engineer

A well-established hardware product company in Sydney is looking for a senior electronics design leader to join as a technical authority for its engineering team.

This isn't a traditional management role — it's for someone with deep, hands‑on design credibility who can lead through expertise and earn the team's respect, not through hierarchy.

What you’ll be doing:

• - Owning technical direction on complex, high-speed electronics design work
• - Mentoring senior engineers and acting as the final technical voice on design decisions
• - Working as a peer to other engineering leads, reporting directly to the founder

What we're looking for:

• - Strong hands‑on electronics design background, ideally including high-speed signal design (signal integrity, impedance matching, high-speed switching circuits)
• - A genuine track record of shipped, production hardware — from a product company, not a consultancy
• - Enough seniority and credibility to mentor senior engineers and resolve technical disagreements
• - Comfortable in a flat, informal, low-hierarchy team culture
