Job summary

Engineering Networks is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to lead LV switchboard and control-panel design, producing SLDs, schematics and BOMs, and ensuring compliance with AS/NZS standards. This role offers ownership, visible progression and a genuine long-term career in a growing Australian engineering business.

You will collaborate with estimating, manufacturing and project teams, select components, and help standardise design processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical switchboard or control-panel design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD software.

• Experience across multiple industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

• Design LV switchboards, distribution boards and control panels.
• Produce SLDs, schematics and general arrangement drawings.
• Select components and prepare bills of materials.
• Collaborate with estimating, manufacturing and project teams.
• Ensure compliance with AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 61439.
• Help improve and standardise design processes.

The role will involve

• Designing LV switchboards, distribution boards and control panels
• Producing SLDs, schematics and general arrangement drawings
• Selecting components and preparing bills of materials
• Working closely with estimating, manufacturing and project teams
• Ensuring compliance with AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 61439
• Helping improve and standardise design processes

About you

• You will ideally have electrical switchboard or control-panel design experience.
