Job summary

Crow's Nest Children's Centre in Crow's Nest, QLD is seeking passionate Lead Educators and Educators for a part-time role to contribute to high-quality early childhood education and care. You will plan and deliver engaging programs that support development across all domains in a nurturing setting.

You will foster inclusive practice, partner with families, document progress and wellbeing, and collaborate with a supportive team dedicated to best-practice learning.

Qualifications

• Current Working with Children Check (Queensland)
• Cert III or Diploma in Children's Services (or equivalent) or willing to obtain
• First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Sound knowledge of child development and the EYLF
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, families and colleagues
• Commitment to inclusive, welcoming environments
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Passion for early childhood education and supporting learning and development
• Leadership experience desirable for Lead Educator role

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate engaging educational activities and play-based learning that support development in line with the EYLF
• Provide direct care and supervision to children ensuring safety and wellbeing
• Build positive relationships with children, families and team members
• Maintain observations and documentation to inform programming
• Communicate with families about progress and wellbeing
• Maintain a safe, age-appropriate learning environment
• Support social-emotional development and positive peer relationships
• Assist with routines including meals, rest and personal care
• Lead or contribute to team meetings and planning (Lead Educator role)
• Model positive behaviour guidance consistent with centre policies
