Job summary

Uniting Victoria and Tasmania in Chiltern is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to deliver high-quality care and education for children in a supportive, child-focused environment. You will build positive relationships with children, families and the wider community.

As part of a collaborative team, you will implement play-based learning, align programs with EYLF and NQF requirements, follow Uniting policies and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent).
• Current National Child Safety Training and state-based child safety training (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience in kindergarten or early childhood services delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging, high-quality education and care for children.
• Develop strong relationships with children, families and the community.
• Support children's learning and development through play-based experiences.

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will build positive relationships with children, families, and the wider community while contributing to a collaborative team committed to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide engaging, high-quality education and care for children.
• Develop strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and the community.
• Support children's learning, development, interests, and individual needs through play-based learning experiences.
• Implement educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework requirements.
• Follow Uniting Early Learning policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive, inclusive, and continuously improving learning environment.

Your skills and experience

You will hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority). You will also bring with you:

• Current National Child Safety Training and any applicable state-based child safety training (or ability to obtain prior to commencement).
• Prior experience working in a kindergarten and / or other early childhood service providing high-quality care and educational services for children.
• A sound knowledge and understanding of early childhood learning and development.
