Job summary

Uniting Vic.Tas is hiring a Lead Educator (OSHC) in Collinsvale, TAS. This permanent part-time role offers approximately 16 hours per week, Tue–Fri after-school care, and leads the program at the Collinsvale Service.

You’ll help create safe, engaging and inclusive experiences for children before school, after school and during vacation care, supporting families and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their wellbeing.
• Great communication skills, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Previous experience with children is desirable but not essential.
• Current Working with Vulnerable People Registration (Tasmania) or ability to obtain before start.
• National Child Safety Training and any state-based Child Safety Training or ability to obtain prior to commencement.

As Lead Educator (OSHC), you'll help create safe, engaging and inclusive experiences where children can play, learn and thrive before school, after school and during vacation care. Every day is different, with opportunities to build meaningful relationships with children, support their wellbeing, and encourage curiosity, creativity and fun.

You'll be part of our welcoming teams across Hobart, working in collaboration with passionate educators who are committed to creating environments where every child feels a sense of belonging. Whether you're supporting homework, facilitating exciting activities or simply sharing in children's everyday moments, you'll play an important role in creating positive experiences for children and supporting local families.

You’ll Bring With You

• A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their wellbeing.
• Great communication skills, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Previous experience working with children is desirable, but not essential.
• A qualification in education and care (or equiv) is highly regarded but not required for this role.
• A current Working with Vulnerable People Registration (Tasmania), or the ability to obtain one before you start.
• Current National Child Safety Training and any applicable state-based Child Safety Training (or ability to obtain prior to commencement).
