Job summary

Glencore's Mt Owen/Glendell Operations in the Hunter Valley, NSW, seeks a Mining Superintendent – Drill and Blast to lead our high‑performance teams and drive safety, productivity and contractor coordination on a dayshift, Monday to Friday.

Reporting to the Mining Manager, you will oversee drilling, blasting and production activities, ensure compliance with the Glencore framework, and foster a culture of safety, integrity and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in operational leadership liaising with diverse employees and senior leaders.
• Proven experience in drilling, blasting, and contractor management.
• Mining Superintendent or Supervisor experience in Drill & Blast or Production.
• Current NSW Explosive Security Clearance (desirable).
• Current Mining Engineering Manager Practicing Certificate (desirable).
• Computer literacy to measure, record and analyse reporting on safety and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead MGO's drill and blast and production activities.
• Manage safety, people and productivity reporting.
• Liaise with supervisors, employees, and contractors.
• Ensure adherence to Glencore management framework.
