Job summary

Sydney Water in New South Wales seeks a Senior Solutions Architect within Digital to lead solution delivery and provide architecture leadership across Corporate & Governance programs. You will define end-to-end solution designs, collaborate with development teams, estimate total cost of ownership, and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture to support the Digital Strategy.

This is a 24-month fixed-term backfill role; Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required.

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree qualification in information technology, computer science or similar or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in information technology architecture of which 5 years’ experience as a solutions architect.
• Good working knowledge of the Enterprise Architecture function.
• Proven architecture experience and skills across Corporate & Governance domains.
• Proven experience applying technology solutions to business problems at scale and complexity.
• Development and deployment experience on more than one platform.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement solutions within the Digital Business programs portfolio, aligning with Sydney Water Digital Strategy.
• Support Architecture Practice Improvement.
• Define, maintain and govern end-to-end solution designs and estimates to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure solutions align with defined architectures.
• Balance design choices for strategy, total cost of ownership, risk, and delivery timing to optimise business value.
• Estimate cost of end-to-end solutions and recommend options for minimal TCO.
• Ensure alignment to enterprise architecture, policies and standards.
• Ensure lifecycle management processes are in place.
