Job summary

Hutcheon & Pearce, Australia’s largest family‑owned John Deere dealership, seeks a hands‑on Workshop Foreman to lead our Warren workshop. You will mentor technicians, coordinate jobs, diagnose complex faults and drive a culture of safety and excellence.

You’ll combine practical mechanical work with leadership, ensuring high‑quality customer outcomes and steady workshop performance. A strong background in heavy vehicle/diesel maintenance is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting and repair skills required.
• Experience leading, mentoring or supporting other technicians is valued.
• Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workshop demands.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and support qualified and apprentice technicians.
• Coordinate workshop jobs, servicing and repairs to keep work moving smoothly.
• Provide technical guidance and help diagnose complex machinery faults.
• Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance on agricultural machinery.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify faults accurately and efficiently.
• Review and finalise job cards ensuring correct documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflow, productivity and revenue.
• Promote a strong safety culture and high workmanship standards.
