Schoolbox is seeking a permanent DevOps Engineer to join the Infrastructure Services team. You will design, implement, and mature the AWS-based cloud platform with Cloudflare integration, using IaC practices and modern CI/CD pipelines. You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to on-call support while enabling global expansion.

The role emphasizes security-first, scalable architectures and cost-effective cloud spend, with a hybrid work arrangement and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, implementing and maturing cloud-based SaaS infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of modern IaC practices (Terraform, Puppet).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Concourse CI).
• Monitoring/observability using Grafana stack and related tools.
• Security-conscious approach to SaaS infrastructure and access controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, scale, and secure Schoolbox Cloud environment for global expansion.
• Maintain secure configs and deployment pipelines with IaC.
• Monitor metrics/logs and ensure high availability and rapid alerting.
• Manage access controls and OS/dependency patching.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in on-call rotations.
