Job summary

N2S.Global is seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer in Sydney to lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise data solutions. You will drive scalable data platforms, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT pipelines, collaborating with stakeholders and cloud teams to modernize legacy systems.

You will mentor engineers, enforce data governance, and ensure performance, security, and reliability across the data ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 8+ years hands-on IT experience with data platforms.
• 5+ years leading data engineering teams or large initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of enterprise-scale data platforms and pipelines.
• Build and optimize MS SQL Server databases, data warehouses, and data marts.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes using SSIS and modern tools.
• Translate data requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Design data models for reporting and analytics.
• Optimize performance via indexing, partitioning, and tuning.
• Lead data migration to cloud environments and governance practices.
• Establish standards for data engineering, coding, and deployment.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers; align with DevOps and cloud teams.
