Job summary

Healthy North Coast is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to shape the future of health data across the North Coast region. You will design innovative data solutions, turning complex information into insights that drive better population health outcomes.

The role offers hybrid work with office/home-based options and a commitment to professional growth. You will work with cloud technologies, advanced analytics, and data integration to support decision-making in a not-for-profit setting.

Qualifications

• A relevant post-secondary qualification is desirable and/or 5+ years’ experience in similar position.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing end-to-end technology, data, analytics, and automation solutions using Microsoft Azure and related cloud services.
• Advanced experience with SQL, Python, API development, data modelling, and modern ELT/ETL methodologies.
• Experience delivering reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI and related business intelligence technologies.
• Ability to engage stakeholders, analyse business requirements, evaluate options, and translate complex needs into practical technical solutions.
• Demonstrated experience producing high-quality technical, architectural, and operational documentation.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and provide technical advice in evolving environments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
• Experience taking initiative and delivering high-quality work on time.
• Knowledge of Work Health and Safety, Equal Employment Opportunity, Cultural Safety, and Continuous Improvement principles.
