Job summary

Cotton On is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to guide data engineering initiatives across the group. You will shape data design, build scalable pipelines and partner with technology and business teams to deliver analytics-ready data products.

You will lead with hands-on technical excellence, mentoring engineers and driving best practices to ensure reliable, scalable data platforms that support AI and advanced analytics on a global scale.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Data Engineering within a complex enterprise environment.
• Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale cloud-based data solutions.
• Advanced SQL and Python skills.
• Strong experience with Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and Microsoft data technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD practices, source control and modern engineering methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, governance and data quality frameworks.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to influence and lead technical direction.
