Job summary

HiTech Personnel is seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer to join a high-profile Federal Government program. You will design, develop and maintain enterprise-scale data platforms, cloud infrastructure and automated pipelines that enable critical scientific and operational outcomes.

The role involves working with large-scale datasets using modern cloud technologies in a collaborative environment. This is a 12-month contract with extension potential and a hybrid working arrangement.

Qualifications

• Experience with large cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience building automated data pipelines and analytics platforms.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and system design communications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms.
• Support delivery and optimisation of large-scale data processing and analytics capabilities.
• Implement automated testing, deployment and orchestration across cloud environments.
• Provide technical leadership and knowledge sharing across multidisciplinary teams.
• Embed security, reliability and performance best practices throughout platform delivery.
