Job summary

NSW Fair Trading is seeking a Manager Data & AI Platform Engineering in the Regulatory Intelligence, Data & Insights area. It is a hybrid role with two days in the CBD/Parramatta offices and three days remote, overseeing Azure and Snowflake based data platforms and agentic data workflows.

You will lead a small team and define the platform architecture and roadmap. The role requires strong cloud security and DevSecOps experience, with a focus on governance, observability, and scalable data

Qualifications

• Leadership experience on data platform projects.
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps practices.
• Familiarity with Azure and Snowflake data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement initiatives to improve security, governance and observability of an Azure and Snowflake based data platform.
• Set and continuously improve DevSecOps practices across the team and oversee deployment pipelines for data pipelines and ML models.
• Oversee design and implementation of data pipelines and agentic workflows for ingestion and quality management.
• Monitor, deploy, and manage context for AI agents across the Directorate.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to enable agentic data engineering and analytics workflows.
