Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Security Architect, Lead Security Architect or Enterprise Security Architect.
• Demonstrated experience designing and assuring secure solutions in large, complex enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, IAM, cyber risk management and enterprise security architecture.
• Experience across multi-cloud and hybrid environments, including Azure and/or AWS.
• Strong practical understanding of Zero Trust Architecture and secure-by-design principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead security architecture and assurance across complex ICT projects and transformation initiatives.
• Provide architecture advice across cloud, infrastructure, applications, data, identity and integration domains.
• Develop target-state security architectures, roadmaps, reference architectures, standards and reusable security patterns.
• Identify and manage cyber security risks throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Conduct security architecture reviews, risk assessments and design assurance.
• Embed secure-by-design and Zero Trust principles into enterprise solutions.
• Provide security architecture leadership across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Work closely with Enterprise Architects, Solution Architects, cyber security teams and delivery teams.
• Ensure solutions align with ISM, PSPF, Essential Eight, IRAP and relevant Australian Government security requirements.
• Support cyber security strategy, security uplift initiatives and continuous improvement of enterprise security maturity.
• Provide trusted advice to senior technology, security and business stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

Highly Desirable

• Strong experience as a Security Architect, Lead Security Architect or Enterprise Security Architect.
• Demonstrated experience designing and assuring secure solutions in large, complex enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, IAM, cyber risk management and enterprise security architecture.
• Experience across multi-cloud and hybrid environments, including Azure and/or AWS.
• Strong practical understanding of Zero Trust Architecture and secure-by-design principles.
• Experience improving organisational cyber security posture and maturity.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to provide pragmatic security advice at senior levels.
• Australian Government or similarly regulated enterprise experience highly regarded.

Desirable

• Strong knowledge of ISM, PSPF, Essential Eight and IRAP.
• Experience developing enterprise security strategies, roadmaps, standards and reference architectures.
• Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
• Relevant certifications such as SABSA, CISSP, CCSP, Azure Security Engineer, AWS Security Specialty, TOGAF or equivalent.
