Job summary

Airswift is recruiting a Lead Cost Controller for a major mining EPCM project based in Brisbane CBD on a 12-month casual contract. You will lead project cost control across the lifecycle, manage budgets, forecasts and cost reporting to align with project objectives.

The role requires strong experience in TCI management, cost control, forecasting, budgeting, and earned value reporting within complex environments, with advanced Excel and project cost systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Lead/ Senior Cost Controller in EPCM/mining environments.
• Experience with TCI reporting and controls.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced Excel and project cost management systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead project cost control activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage and maintain budgets, forecasts, commitments, and expenditure tracking.
• Oversee TCI reporting and ensure cost performance aligns with objectives.
• Analyze cost variances, trends, risks and opportunities.
• Prepare monthly project controls and management reports.
• Interface with project managers, planners, commercial teams and stakeholders.
• Support governance and decision-making with cost insights.
• Drive continuous improvement in cost management processes.

About You

• Proven experience as a Lead Cost Controller or Senior Cost Controller within EPCM environments
• Strong background supporting mining or major resources projects
• Demonstrated experience managing TCI (Total Capital Investment) reporting and controls
• Advanced understanding of project controls, cost management, forecasting, and earned value principles
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills
• Advanced Excel and project cost management systems experience
