Job summary

CDC Data Centres in Australia seeks a Construction Project Engineer to oversee large-scale projects from concept to delivery, with a strong focus on financial and data reporting. You will coordinate across teams to ensure financial viability, robust organisation, and efficient execution.

You will maintain communication across departments, prepare weekly/monthly reports, manage procurement and contract administration, and ensure schedules and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in project support/coordination within large-scale construction projects.
• Proven ability to create, present and provide insights on project data and financial reporting.
• Understanding of building methods, materials, and safety regulations.
• Experience interpreting architectural drawings, plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support all aspects of project financial and data reporting, including progress updates, forecasting, budgeting, procurement, and systems compliance.
• Prepare and update weekly/monthly project reports for stakeholders; manage documentation in Aconex/SharePoint; support contract administration.
• Coordinate activities across project phases; ensure alignment with schedules and site access.
• Assist in procurement documentation, validate contractor claims, oversee expenditure approvals, and prepare payment certificates.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships; facilitate meetings and action follow-ups to ensure delivery.
• Conduct project health-checks and oversee defect resolution to meet standards.
