Job summary

Heidi is seeking a senior leader to own the cloud platform and reliability practice. You’ll manage the multi-region footprint, define SLOs, and oversee on-call engineering to keep services available for clinicians worldwide.

You will lead a small team of cloud and reliability engineers, collaborate with product and security, and drive deployment strategies, incident response, and cross-region resilience to support two million weekly visits.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience running cloud infrastructure or SRE teams at scale, preferably in regulated sectors.
• Hands-on expertise with a major cloud provider, Kubernetes, Terraform or similar IaC, and modern observability stacks.
• A proven reliability practice with defined SLOs, error budgets, incidents, and post-incident reviews.
• Experience designing high-availability architectures across regions with data residency considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the platform team covering cloud infrastructure and reliability, including hiring and coaching.
• Own Heidi's multi-region cloud footprint end to end: compute, networking, data stores, Kubernetes and IaC.
• Set reliability bars, define SLIs/SLOs, track error budgets, and report on improvement opportunities.
• Direct incident response, escalation paths, and post-incident reviews to drive mature fixes.
• Collaborate with Release Manager and engineering leads to improve deployment frequency and change lead time.
