Job summary

Deputy is seeking a Lead Software Engineer (Platform, Reliability) to guide the build of reliable, secure production services. You will own the roadmap for platform reliability, incident management, and infrastructure security, collaborating with security and product leaders to deliver scalable solutions.

You will mentor Sr, Mid and Jr engineers, drive SRE practices, define SLOs/SLIs, and help ensure encryption, DR/BCP, and secure cloud deployments across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years in DevSecOps and 2+ years as lead/staff engineer.
• Hands-on experience securing Kubernetes clusters and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Experience with SAST & DAST, CI/CD pipelines and security tooling.
• Experience building and testing Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Plans in AWS across regions.
• Knowledge of authentication & authorization platforms (CIAM, OAuth2, OpenID).
• Proven leadership delivering projects from concept to delivery with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team that builds secure and reliable services and drive the roadmap for platform reliability and infrastructure security.
• Collaborate with Security and other engineering leadership to define standards, best practices and architecture.
• Own incident management, observability, and vulnerability remediation; drive MTTR improvements.
• Mentor Sr, Mid and Jr engineers to achieve high-quality outcomes.
• Define and implement encryption at rest/in transit, DR/BCP execution across regions.
