Job summary

UGL, Melbourne-based, seeks a Lead Engineer - Civil & Structural to provide technical leadership across civil and structural engineering for critical energy infrastructure. You will lead design, asset integrity, and project delivery for fuel terminals and petrochemical facilities, guiding teams to safe, compliant outcomes.

The role requires a track record in brownfield upgrades, structural assessments and site support, with strong stakeholder engagement and a commitment to safety and engineering

Qualifications

• Requires tertiary qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 10+ years delivering civil and structural solutions in Oil & Gas, fuel terminals or heavy industrial environments.
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil and structural engineering delivery across fuel terminal and energy infrastructure projects.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables including calculations, specifications and reports.
• Develop conceptual layouts and practical solutions for brownfield asset upgrades and life-extension.
• Mentor engineers, designers and drafters across multiple projects.
• Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards and client specifications.
