Job summary

ACCIONA Energía in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Team Lead to guide a high-performing team across development, construction and operations. You will oversee civil activities, ensure design governance and support planning, tendering and constructability reviews for wind and solar infrastructure.

You will manage consultants and contractors, drive safety and engineering excellence, and contribute to the delivery of energy projects across this global renewable portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and eligibility for Chartered/Registered Engineer status.
• 10+ years of civil engineering design, technical assurance or construction support experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams and managing external consultants/contractors.
• Strong knowledge of standards, design reviews and technical governance.
• Spanish language skills encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Civil Engineering team with coaching and mentorship.
• Oversee delivery and review of civil engineering activities across development, design, procurement and construction.
• Provide technical governance for designs, studies, specs and project deliverables.
• Support planning, CAPEX estimating, tender evaluations, value engineering and constructability reviews.
• Coordinate engineering consultants, contractors and stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide technical support during construction and operations, including reviews and inspections.
• Contribute to successful delivery and performance of renewable energy projects through engineering leadership.
