Job summary

Stantec in Canberra seeks a Design and Drafting Team Leader to drive multi-disciplinary delivery across civil, urban development and transport projects. You will lead drafting resources, oversee complex geometric design, and manage contracts and supervision, shaping high‑quality technical outcomes.

You will mentor a team of civil drafters, expand client relationships in ACT/NSW, and collaborate with project managers to sustain profitable, on‑time delivery while maintaining design excellence.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Drafting or Engineering and/or equivalent relevant experience on transport and civil infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading a team of civil drafters with resource management and client deliverables.
• Strong knowledge of local drafting standards and CAD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary delivery to ensure integrated technical solutions.
• Coordinate design and drafting resources across ACT and other offices.
• Oversee complex geometric design inputs and contract management.
• Identify opportunities and develop client relationships for future projects.
• Mentor team members to develop their full potential.
