Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or equivalent in a busy kitchen.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a track record of team development.
• Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop menus in consultation with management, considering customer demand, seasonal ingredients, food costs, and kitchen capacity.
• Develop, test, and standardise recipes, preparation methods, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
• Prepare and cook a range of menu items, overseeing food preparation from start to finish.
• Manage kitchen inventory, order supplies, and maintain relationships with suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations within the kitchen.
• Supervise, mentor, and train kitchen staff to maintain high standards of culinary execution and teamwork.
