Qualifications

• Certificate IV or higher in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
• 1–2 years full-time Chef experience, preferably continental cuisine.
• Strong knowledge of herbs & spices and authentic menu preparation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present authentic dishes with consistency and high quality.
• Plan, develop, and update menus, balancing traditional flavours with innovative dishes.
• Supervise, mentor, and train junior kitchen staff.
• Manage stock levels, ordering, and supplier relationships.
• Maintain compliance with workplace health and food safety standards.
• Contribute to smooth kitchen operations, including rostering and workflow management.
