Job summary

Hagen’s Beaumaris is seeking a passionate Head Butcher to lead in-store operations. You will cut, grind and prepare meats, manage displays, supervise tools, and ensure quality across every customer interaction at our Beaumaris store.

You will train and guide team members, uphold food safety standards, and help grow the business as part of a small, community-focused Melbourne retailer. If you’re an experienced butcher with a positive attitude and love working with customers, apply today.

Qualifications

• Qualified butcher with 2–3 years of experience.
• Front-of-house customer interaction experience preferred.
• Experience leading teams is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Cutting, grinding and preparing meats and meat products for sale.
• Weighing, packaging, pricing, and displaying products.
• Ensuring displays are enticing and signage is accurate.
• Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment.
• Performing quality inspections on meats and other products to uphold our high-quality standards.
• Adhering to food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Greeting and speaking to customers to determine their needs, providing advice on cuts of meat and preparation methods and accepting orders or payments.
• Contributing to a great team experience in store and helping to create exceptional customer service.
