Job summary

Orica is seeking an experienced Lead - Asset Support to join our Mining Services team in Brisbane, Perth or Newcastle. The role focuses on safety, reliability, and ongoing improvement of equipment across customer sites, spanning mobile and fixed plant used in explosives and blasting product delivery.

You will provide technical leadership across asset lifecycles, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and Orica standards while driving improvements and supporting new technologies rollout.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience in asset management or related engineering field.
• Experience with mobile or fixed plant in mining, heavy industry, or manufacturing.
• Proven ability to improve asset safety, reliability, and performance.
• Experience supporting equipment modifications or introduction of new assets/technologies.
• Working knowledge of asset compliance and technical documentation in regulated environments.
• Ability to investigate issues and coordinate with site teams, suppliers and OEMs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure assets and project delivery comply with SHES, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Drive Mining Services continuous improvement across the region.
• Deliver small engineering and asset improvement projects and design changes.
• Identify failure trends and opportunities to improve asset performance.
• Lead safe introduction of new technologies and asset rollouts.
• Maintain standard plant designs and asset records; support global catalogue updates.
• Lead workshops with site teams, vendors and OEMs for investigations and problem solving.
