IAG, Australia’s leading general insurance group, is hiring an AI Product Lead to steer a cross-functional squad delivering AI solutions that improve Claims operations and customer outcomes. This permanent role is central to our AI transformation and requires hands-on AI experience with strong leadership capability.

The position is based in Gadigal Country (Sydney), Naarm (Melbourne) or Meanjin (Brisbane), offering a unique chance to influence across markets while collaborating with Claims

Qualifications

• Background in actuarial science, data science, analytics or related quantitative discipline.
• Experience delivering AI solutions into production and achieving business outcomes.
• Strong understanding of AI development and engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross functional squad to deliver AI initiatives that create measurable business value and enhance customer outcomes.
• Own priorities, scope and delivery outcomes, ensuring initiatives move effectively from discovery through to implementation.
• Work alongside business stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify opportunities, shape AI solutions and guide initiatives from concept through to delivery.
• Guide engineers and technology teams, providing technical leadership and support throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Coordinate squad resources, manage risks and dependencies, and maintain transparency on progress and outcomes.
• Foster a collaborative, high performing team environment that encourages continuous improvement and agile ways of working.
