Westpac Group is seeking a hands-on technical leader for a major Financial Crime Protection intelligence solution. You will bring deep domain expertise and drive end-to-end product development across data, APIs, AI and review experiences.

You will set solution directions while collaborating with design, code, testing and production support to ensure compliant, secure production outcomes in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Deep Financial Crime Protection domain-SME experience including fraud, AML, investigations and investigations workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead a major Financial Crime Protection intelligence solution from intent through design, build, verification, release and operation.
• Translate complex fraud, AML and protection needs into production-ready outcomes.
• Set boundaries between signals, investigation and human decisions in other systems.
• Create traceable contracts across source data, events, entities, and models.
• Lead versioned and reversible releases for data contracts, models and APIs.
• Mentor engineers and turn delivery lessons into reusable patterns.
