This is an opportunity to work in a supportive, professional environment where your skills are valued, your initiative is encouraged, and your work genuinely makes a difference.

We’ve built an environment where you can truly \"make your mark\" while enjoying: Top-tier Tech: We use Smokeball, Archie AI, InfoTrack, and VXT to streamline the boring stuff so you can focus on the client.
True Hybrid Flexibility: split your time between working from home and in our supportive Ballarat office.

About the Role

In this role, you will manage a varied and interesting caseload across residential, commercial, and farm property transactions, including sales, purchases, and land restructures. You will also gain exposure to the unique and rewarding area of retirement village contracts and operational matters. You will work closely with the Director, who will provide you with guidance and our supportive team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys responsibility, takes pride in precision, and delivers outstanding client service from start to finish.

We are a boutique law firm that specializes in succession planning, related property law, retirement living, farm succession, wills, powers of attorney and deceased estates. We are looking for a capable lawyer (minimum 3 years PQE (or comparable) experience in property law) who can provide insightful legal counsel and ensure seamless operations across all property matters.

  • Reviewing contracts of sale and providing clear, practical, and unbiased advice.
  • Explaining legal processes in a way that reassures and empowers clients.

File & Workflow Management

  • Opening, maintaining, and organising files with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proactively managing tasks, deadlines, and diarising key dates.
  • Keeping the principal lawyer informed and up to date.
  • Autonomy & Problem Solving.
  • Working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Taking ownership of challenges and finding practical solutions.
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of systems and processes.
