Job summary

Hegarty Legal in Sydney is seeking a junior lawyer to join our team of experienced professionals. You will work directly with clients and be supported by our Principal, gaining exposure to insolvency, disputes, and a mix of commercial litigation and transactional matters.

With 1-3 years of legal experience and a Bachelor of Laws, you should be motivated, proactive and committed to delivering excellent client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws or equivalent required.
• NSW practising certificate or nearing eligibility preferred.
• 1–3 years legal experience.
• Motivated, positive and proactive approach.
• Commitment to providing excellent client service.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to manage a busy workload.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop strong rapport with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with clients under supervision while contributing to a busy workload.
• Support the Principal and team on a range of commercial litigation and transactional matters.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and deliver excellent service.

Desired skills and experience:

To succeed in this role you will need:

a Bachelor of Laws or equivalent

a current New South Wales practising certificate or close to receiving

1-3 years legal experience
