Job summary

Levi Consulting, a boutique practice in corporate insolvency, restructuring and commercial advisory, invites a junior lawyer to join its small team in Sydney. You will work directly with a registered liquidator on a broad range of client matters and gain hands-on experience in real insolvency issues.

This role offers practical experience combining legal skills with commercial insight, exposure to distressed businesses, and opportunities to develop skills beyond conventional practice.

Qualifications

• Admitted to practise in Australia, NSW preferred.
• Good research and writing skills.
• Interest in insolvency and restructuring.
• Organised and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and provide advice under relevant statutes and regulations.
• Draft correspondence, reports and legal documents.
• Identify legal issues and risks for clients.
• Review contracts and commercial documents for potential liabilities.
• Work with financial information and distressed businesses.
• Progressively take ownership of legal workstreams.

Lawyer – Insolvency, Restructuring & Commercial Advisory

Full-time | 0–2 years PAE | Immediate start

Work with Registered Liquidator on restructuring and insolvency matters.

Levi Consulting is a boutique professional services practice specialising in corporate insolvency, restructuring and commercial advisory.

We are looking for a lawyer with 0–2 years PAE to join our small team and work directly with a registered liquidator across a broad range of client matters. Get hands‑on experience in real insolvency matters from an eminent insolvency practitioner .

This is a practical role for a promising junior lawyer who wants to develop commercial experience alongside their legal skills. You will see how legal issues, financial information and commercial decisions come together in distressed businesses, with invaluable exposure to professional services and commercial transactions.

The role includes:

• Legal research and advice under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) and related legislation
• Drafting correspondence, reports and legal documentation
• Identifying legal issues and risks
• Reviewing contracts and commercial documents
• Working with financial information and distressed businesses
• Progressively taking ownership of legal workstreams

We are looking for someone who is:

• Admitted to practise in Australia, preferably NSW
• A strong legal researcher and writer
• Commercially minded and interested in insolvancy and restructuring
• Organised, practical and detail‑oriented
• Willing to take responsibility and learn

Previous insolvency experience is not essential.
