Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping/Laundry team member at St Mary’s, Berkeley, NSW, to provide high-quality laundry services for residents in our aged care home. A caring, collaborative workplace values dignity and respect for residents.

This permanent part-time role offers a fortnightly roster (Week 1: Mon-Fri, 7am–11am; Week 2: Mon-Wed, 7am–11am), with a competitive hourly rate of $33.20 plus superannuation.

Qualifications

• Experience in laundry services or housekeeping is advantageous.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide laundry services including collection, washing, folding and return of items.
• Support peers and maintain a cooperative team environment.
• Work safely and follow all policies and procedures to protect residents and staff.

As a member of the Housekeeping team at St Mary’s, Berkeley you will be providing high quality laundry services for our residents within our residential aged care home, ensuring residents belongings are clean and presentable.

About The Role

• Provide laundry services which includes collecting and washing personal clothing, folding and sorting, distributing personal items back to resident rooms
• Supporting your peers and maintaining a co operative team spirit
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents, closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people
• Good communication skills
• A reliable team player
• Understanding of workplace health and safety
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
