Job summary

Mercy Health in Colac, Victoria is seeking a casual Laundry Assistant to support our residents by maintaining clean and fresh laundry, sorting, washing and folding items to organisation standards.

You will operate washers and dryers, monitor quality, report issues and keep the laundry area tidy, while delivering compassionate, resident-centred care.

Experience in housekeeping or aged care is desirable; you may need to provide Police or NDIS clearance checks when applying.

  • You're resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are committed to delivering exceptional resident-centred care.
  • Experience in managing housekeeping and laundry functions.
  • Experience working within Aged Care desirable.
  • Police check or NDIS clearance required.

Responsibilities

  • Sort, wash, dry and fold laundry items according to organisation standards
  • Operate washing machines, dryers and other laundry equipment
  • Inspect laundry for stains, damage, or wear and report any issues
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area
