Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking casual cleaners to join Mercy Place Colac, 83-99 Queen St, Colac Victoria 3250, to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in our aged care facilities.

You will work independently to ensure a safe environment for residents, families and staff, with infection control protocols, and you’ll contribute to a welcoming, respectful community.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping roles.
• Ability to work independently and maintain cleanliness standards.
• Compassion and empathy towards elderly residents.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, sanitary environment and support residents and staff.
• Perform cleaning in residents' rooms, common areas, and admin spaces.

About the opportunity

We're seeking casual cleaners to join our team and help create safe, welcoming spaces where patients, families, and staff feel valued every day. You'll play a critical role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within our facilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring a safe and sanitary environment, adhering to infection control protocols, and supporting the overall comfort and well-being of residents, and employees.
• Performing a variety of cleaning tasks in resident's rooms, common areas, and administrative spaces.

• Most importantly, you are genuinely interested in supporting others and making a difference in your community.
• Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping roles.
• Ability to work independently, a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.

• Experience working in Aged Care or Health environment (desirable but not essential).

Requirements

• Provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining: Police Record Check.
