Job summary

Middlin Landscape Construction – Hawksburn VIC is seeking a Landscaping Apprentice to join our team in Toorak, Victoria. You will learn on the job from skilled tradespeople while assisting with hardscaping and some softscaping tasks.

You will develop practical skills, participate in bed construction, planting, and machinery operation, and progress toward Cert III Landscaping with training travel as required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physical work.
• Genuine interest in landscaping.
• Punctual, reliable and energetic.
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining and developing designated areas to the required standard.
• Assist in constructing new/replacement garden beds and tree planting.
• Operate machinery such as dingo, excavator or Bobcat.
• Ensure work is performed to a high standard of quality.
• Complete study and on-job components to meet Cert III Landscaping qualifications.

Middlin Landscape currently have an exciting opportunity for a landscaping apprentice to join our team!

You will be working alongside our highly skilled and qualified tradespeople learning and mastering your trade.

We do mostly hardscaping, with some softscaping included.

Responsibilities for this position include:

• To assist in maintaining and developing the designated areas to the required standard in a timely manner.
• Assist in the construction of new/replacement garden beds and tree planting.
• Use of machinery ie dingo, excavator Bob cat
• Assure quality of work is performed to a high standard in accordance with expected standards.
• Complete study and on job components to meet qualification requirements for Cert III Landscaping, which includes travel for training purposes.

To be successful you must have the following:

• Ability to undertake manual/physical work.
• Genuine interest in landscaping.
• Punctual, reliable and energetic.
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.

To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights.
