Job summary

First Sheds is a leading supplier and installer of high-quality steel sheds throughout Canberra and the surrounding region. We are seeking a reliable, motivated team member to join our growing construction crew and help deliver on residential, rural and commercial shed projects.

This hands-on role covers site preparation, earthworks, utility install, concrete slabs and landscaping, with a focus on safe, efficient workmanship as part of a small team.

Qualifications

• Experience operating Bobcats and excavators.
• Current White Card.
• Current driver\'s licence (MR licence an advantage).
• Ability to read plans and work independently.
• Physically fit and enjoys working outdoors.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Reliable, punctual and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Operating Bobcats, excavators and other plant equipment.
• Site cuts, earthworks and excavation.
• Demolition using machinery.
• Installing stormwater, drainage and plumbing pipework.
• Installing underground electrical conduits.
• Preparing concrete slabs and shed sites.
• Paving, retaining walls and landscaping works.
• Loading, unloading and maintaining equipment.
• Working safely and efficiently as part of a small team.
• Assisting with general construction tasks as required.

This is a hands‑on role with plenty of variety. You\'ll be involved in all aspects of site preparation and external works for residential, rural and commercial shed projects.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating Bobcats, excavators and other plant equipment.

• Demolition using machinery.
• Installing stormwater, drainage and plumbing pipework.

About You

• Holds a current White Card.

Highly Regarded

• Excavator and skid steer tickets.
• Experience with plumbing or drainage installation.
• Experience installing underground electrical conduits.
• Landscaping or paving experience.
• Truck licence.
• Machinery maintenance experience.
