Job summary

Terra Mater Group is seeking a dedicated Landscaping Laborer to join our team in Fyshwick, ACT, on a full-time basis. You will support the execution of landscaping projects across the region, helping to deliver high-quality outdoor spaces and ensuring projects meet our standards.

This hands-on role offers practical skill development in garden bed prep, paving, decking, and site safety, with opportunities to grow within a growing landscape construction business.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and capable of manual labour
• Reliable, punctual and dedicated to full-time work

• Current driver's licence and reliable transport
• Experience with landscape construction is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Assist with site preparation, excavation, demolition, clearing and levelling
• Assist with paving, concreting, decking, walls and edging
• Prepare garden beds, planting, turfing and softscape construction
• Operate hand and power tools safely on site
• Load, unload and move materials, plants and equipment
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
• Follow all site safety requirements and report hazards
• Work as part of a team and take directions from supervisors
• Support problem-solving and deliver works efficiently
• Work across different commercial sites and environments

Terra Mater Group is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Landscaping Laborer to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in Fyshwick, ACT, this role is fundamental to delivering high-quality landscaping projects for our clients across the region. As a Landscaping Laborer, you will be at the heart of our operations, supporting the execution of landscaping jobs and ensuring that every project is completed to the highest standards. This is a hands‑on role that offers excellent opportunities to develop your skills in a dynamic, growing business within the gardening and landscaping industry.

What you'll be doing

• Assist with site preparation, excavation, demolition, clearing and levelling
• Assist with paving, concreting, decking, retaining walls, brickwork and edging
• Assist with garden bed preparation, planting, turfing and softscape construction
• Operate hand tools, power tools and landscaping/construction equipment safely
• Load, unload and move materials, plants and equipment around job sites
• Maintain clean, safe and organised work areas
• Follow all site safety requirements and report hazards or incidents
• Work as part of a team and follow directions from supervisors, foremen and project managers
• Assist with problem‑solving and completing works efficiently and to a high standard
• Work across different commercial construction sites and project environments

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

• Plant and machinery tickets, including excavator, skid steer, front-end loader, roller or similar
• Experience operating construction and civil machinery
• Previous commercial landscape construction or civil construction experience
