Job summary

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on plant care, design and landscaping solutions.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Horticulturist to join our team at Broughton Landscapes in Berry, NSW. This is a full-time position where you will play a key role in designing, installing, and maintaining high-quality landscape projects for our diverse client base. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional results across residential projects, combining your horticultural knowledge with practical landscaping skills to create and maintain beautiful outdoor environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design / plan and implement maintenace programs,


• Prepare and maintain garden beds, including soil preparation, planting, and mulching


• Perform regular maintenance tasks including pruning, weeding, fertilising, and pest management


• Operate landscaping equipment and machinery safely and efficiently


• Provide expert advice to clients regarding plant care, garden design, and landscaping solutions


• Ensure all work sites are kept clean and tidy, with proper waste management and recycling practices


• Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects on time and within budget


• Maintain knowledge of current horticultural trends, best practices, and sustainable landscaping techniques

What we're looking for

• Certificate III or IV in Horticulture, Landscaping, or related qualification


• Proven experience in landscaping and horticulture, ideally in both installation and maintenance


• Strong knowledge of plant species, their growing requirements, and pest management


• Proficiency in using landscaping equipment and tools, including powered machinery


• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work


• Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions


• Reliable, professional attitude with strong communication and customer service skills


• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to job sites within the local area


• Understanding of health and safety regulations and commitment to safe work practices


• Preferred experience with landscape design software and sustainable gardening practices
