Job summary

Chandler Macleod Group is seeking an experienced Landfill Operator to join a government client in Coffs Harbour. This hands-on role supports day-to-day landfill operations, operating mobile plant and maintaining safe practices.

The casual position offers full-time hours (38 per week) on a 7-day rotating roster, with typical shifts 7:00am-5:30pm on weekdays and 7:30am-4:30pm on weekends/public holidays.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with relevant plant tickets.
• White Card and NSW HR licence held.
• Strong safety focus and ability to work outdoors in a team.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of site mobile plant and machinery.
• General landfill / waste station operations and support as required.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment and following site procedures.
• Completing routine checks and reporting faults/incidents promptly.

About the role

We’re seeking an experienced Landfill Operator to join a government client based in Coffs Harbour. This is a hands-on role supporting day-to-day landfill operations, operating mobile plant and working safely in a busy waste management environment.

This is a casual role offering full-time hours (38 per week) across a 7-day rotating roster, typically working 7:00am-5:30pm on weekdays and 7:30am-4:30pm on weekends and public holidays (and if you’re a strong candidate but can’t commit to weekends, we still encourage you to apply).

Duties

• Safe operation of landfill plant and machinery (site-based mobile plant)
• General landfill / waste station operations and support as required
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment and following site procedures
• Completing routine checks and reporting faults/incidents promptlyWorking to WHS requirements and supporting safe traffic / site movements

Skills and Experience

• Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent relevant experience
• Minimum 2 years’ previous experience and relevant tickets on at least one of the following:
  • Waste Compactor
  • Track Loader
  • Excavator
  • Front-end Loader
• White Card (Construction Induction)
• Current NSW HR licence

Desirable

• Waste facility / landfill experience
• Strong safety focus and confidence working outdoors in a team environment

Benefits
