Job summary

Chandler Macleod is seeking an experienced Landfill Operator for a government client in Coffs Harbour. This hands-on role covers daily landfill operations, mobile plant operation, and adherence to WHS standards on a 7-day rotating roster.

Candidates should have a Certificate III in Civil Construction, relevant tickets, a White Card, and a NSW HR licence. The role offers 38 hours per week with a rotating schedule and weekend coverage as required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ previous experience and relevant tickets on at least one of: Waste Compactor, Track Loader, Excavator, Front-end Loader.
• White Card (Construction Induction) and Current NSW HR licence.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of landfill plant and machinery (site-based mobile plant).
• General landfill / waste station operations and support as required.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment and following site procedures.
• Completing routine checks and reporting faults/incidents promptly.
• Working to WHS requirements and supporting safe traffic / site movements.

About the role

We’re seeking an experienced Landfill Operator to join a government client based in Coffs Harbour. This is a hands-on role supporting day-to-day landfill operations, operating mobile plant and working safely in a busy waste management environment.

This is a casual role offering full-time hours (38 per week) across a 7-day rotating roster, typically working 7:00am-5:30pm on weekdays and 7:30am-4:30pm on weekends and public holidays (and if you’re a strong candidate but can’t commit to weekends, we still encourage you to apply).

• Safe operation of landfill plant and machinery (site-based mobile plant)
• General landfill / waste station operations and support as required

Skills and Experience

• Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent relevant experience
